Is it possible to pass without a class?

I am studying for my nursing school entrance exam all by myself and I feel totally lost. I have been watching YouTube videos for days but nothing is clicking in my brain. I took a HESI practice test yesterday and I got a really low score on the grammar section. I was so upset that I almost threw my book across the room. Does anyone else study alone or do you all take expensive prep classes?
